1969 Sunny Skies Smile On Labor Day Fall Fair

The annual North Thompson Fall Fair held at Louis Creek on Labor Day drew record crowds under beautiful sunny fall skies.
The day started early with a big parade featuring the decorative groups from most of the North Valley riding clubs and the royal car with Fall Fair queen Linda Johnston of Clearwater, princess Anne Deane of Little Fort and princess Beverley Kupsch of Clearwater. 1968 queen Mary Chamberlain of Heffley Creek, and princess Diane Bradford of Barriere.
All booths "sold out" with one of the comments "we sure should have had more ice cream"
The fair seems to be growing every year with rides and fish pond for the children, and horse trials before the grandstand. There were industrial displays and the bountiful harvest entries. At day's end much of the produce was offered for auction called by Mort Schunaman.
The day terminated with a big dance in the Fall Fair hall featuring Can Can dancing belles floor show from Kamloops.
Prize winner lists received this week follow, other lists and prize winners will be printed as soon as received by The Times.
